Vase Breathing Meditation

Tumbo Breathing Meditation

There is a preliminary practice before we start Tummo Meditation.
Inhale without exhaling and fill the vase full. Keep inhaling and keep filling air into the vase. Your lower belly will be a little ballooned and hard. You just keep blowing into it, after three to five seconds, slowly breathe out a little bit of air, then stop.
Slowly breathe out a little bit more, then stop again. It takes 3 to 5 times to breath out the air completely.
Inhale to the lower core (3 fingers below navel), you can imagine there is a little fire in the lower core area, and blow the flame. Visualize it like a red-hot wire, but it’s flickering, you can blow it. Inhale. You don’t have to breathe in with full force. Keep inhaling naturally until you are full. It still needs some strength. Exhale naturally and relaxed.

The Four Immeasurables

The Immeasurable Equanimity- with definitive knowing and belief, we attend to all phenomena of the inner and outer world without attachment or aversion;
The Immeasurable Loving Kindness- we treat all sentient beings as equals, and with endless love, we care for them as dear as our own children;
The Immeasurable Compassion- Be compassionate to those who live a wrongful life which causes them immediate or future suffering. For them, at all costs, I will endure humiliation, hardships, and even beatings.
I will try to reduce their suffering by explaining to them the right ways at the right time;
The Immeasurable Empathetic Joy- I rejoice in others’ happiness and liberation with equnimity,admiration and endless joy.

Compassionate Positive Energy

Everything is the natural consequences of one’s own deeds.
We know all our troubles and obstacles in life are caused by our own thoughts. We are willing to confront it bravely and manage the entanglements properly in relationships without avoiding them.Whenever the mind goes through ups and downs, we can perceive our blind spots and problems.
Whenever there is an emotional churning inside, it’s time to look inwards. We are not worried at all along the way because we are willing to change.

The Big Day in the Future

Death might be not as scary as we imagine. It might be more like living. It is a natural part of a life journey. Dying is not the end, it uses its existence, to teach us to understand life better.

Repentance Samadhi

For all beings whom I have hurt in the past, present or future, due to physical and verbal misbehavior or ill-intentions or physical and mental obstacles and for the suffering I received due to physical and verbal misbehavior or ill-intentions, I am willing to accept the consequences that results from karmic law.
I am sorry that due to my ignorance and not knowing the Four Noble Truths, we keep hurting each other in many lives and remain in the six realms without release.
We all want to be released. May all beings whom I have hurt be free from mental suffering, physical suffering and be happy. May all nonhuman sentient beings with whom I have karmic connections hear the Dharma and be reborn in the path of good realms. May all human or non-human beings with whom I have a connection, share my good karma and the merits and answer: Sadhu, Sadhu, Sadhu. May all beings share my merits.
